Bookshop.org distribution and Listener Program

Voices by INaudio distributes eligible audiobooks to Bookshop.org through an exclusive distribution partnership.

Bookshop.org connects readers with independent bookshops, and purchases made through its platform financially support participating bookshops. Its UK network includes more than 630 bookshops and 14,000 affiliates.

Bookshop.org currently offers audiobooks through a credit-based subscription in the UK. Additional purchasing models and markets may become available in the future.

Eligible audiobooks that were already published through Voices when Bookshop.org distribution launched were automatically opted in. No additional action was required.

You can review or change your participation at any time:

1. Sign in to Voices by INaudio.

2. Open the applicable audiobook project.

3. Navigate to the Distribution section.

4. Review your distribution selections.

5. Select or deselect Bookshop.org.

6. Confirm your selections and republish the audiobook if prompted.

Deselecting Bookshop.org sends a request to remove the audiobook from its platform. The removal may not be immediate while the request is processed.

Selecting Bookshop.org authorizes Voices to deliver your audiobook but does not guarantee that Bookshop.org will make it available. Titles must meet its content, rights, territory, and technical requirements.

Independent booksellers play an important role in recommending books and helping readers discover new titles. Bookshop.org’s Listener Program allows accredited booksellers to listen to participating audiobooks at no charge so they can learn about titles and make informed recommendations.

If your audiobook is opted into Bookshop.org distribution through Voices, it will also be included in the Listener Program. You do not need to enroll separately.

Participation in the Listener Program is connected to Bookshop.org distribution. To remove an audiobook from the program, deselect Bookshop.org in the project’s distribution settings and confirm the change.

Audiobook distribution through this partnership initially launched in the United Kingdom. Bookshop.org may expand into additional markets or introduce additional purchasing options in the future.

Retailer processing times vary. Selecting Bookshop.org does not mean the audiobook will appear immediately.
