How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Request

Edited

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used or distributed on our platform without your permission, you can request its removal under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

This article explains what information you need to include in your request and how to submit it.

What Is a DMCA Takedown Request?

A DMCA takedown request is a formal notice that asks us to remove or restrict access to content that infringes on your copyright. To be valid, your request must include specific information required by U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)). Incomplete requests may not be processed.

What You’ll Need to Include

To make sure we can process your request quickly, your notice must include the following details (as required by U.S. copyright law):

1. Your Contact Information

Provide your full legal name, address, phone number, and email address so we can contact you about your claim.

2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work

Tell us what copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
Examples:

  • The audiobook title and ISBN

  • The name of the author, narrator, or publisher

If multiple works are involved, you can include a list.

3. Where the Infringing Content Appears

Give us the exact URL or direct link where the material appears on our site.
We can’t process claims without a specific location.

4. Your Good-Faith Statement

Include this statement (or one similar):

“I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”

5. Accuracy and Authority Statement

Include this declaration:

“The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.”

6. Your Signature

You can sign electronically by typing your name at the bottom of the message (for example, “/s/ Jane Smith”).

Where to Send Your Request

Please send your completed DMCA takedown notice to our Designated DMCA Agent:

Email: voice-support@inaudio.com
Mailing Address: INaudio, LLC ,835 North Cleveland Massillon Road, Building A, Akron, OH 44333

What Happens Next

  • We’ll review your request to ensure all required information is included.

  • If valid, we’ll remove or disable access to the content in question.

  • We’ll notify the uploader and provide them an opportunity to file a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was made in error.

If the uploader submits a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless we receive notice of a legal action within 10–14 business days.

Important Notes

  • Submitting false or misleading information may result in legal consequences under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

  • If you’re unsure whether the material infringes your rights, you may wish to consult a lawyer before submitting a notice.
